Possibly a Pine Sawyer Beetle?

Possibly a Pine Sawyer Beetle? Found this beetle within a dead and decaying tree. A rather large beetle!! 3-4 inches in length. It was big for a bug!! I horrased it long enough for some photographs than let it go back and hide in the dead tree. The length of this bug reminded me of the hissing bugs I used to have. Though this beetle seamed to be a bit bigger. Not sure if it bit or not so I moved it around with a stick. . http://www.mrsroadrunner.com/
