First Lilly To Bloom Of The Season. This is one of many lilies we have, and tickled they are starting to bloom. One of them is as tall or taller then I am! Not sure what it is going to look like? But I surely will get a photo of that one when it blooms!

Widow Maker. A typical widow maker (slang for a limb that is just hanging, caught up within the trees), that can kill you if not paying attention to things around you. If this photo helps one person not get hurt, than this was worth taking and showing.
Pink And Yellow Rose Being Visited. Oh I wish the smell of this rose could have been captured as well! Vary fragrant!
We came around a bend in the road and the smell hit us before the flowers did! The roses were growing everywhere, wild.
Blooming Cotton Swabs. These wildflowers reminded me of cotton swabs. I do not know what kind of wildflowers these are, but a lot of them were blooming in this spot!
Photographs like this, no wonder I come home with ticks on me lol!

Modern Day Cowboy Moving Cattle. Our part of Oregon has many industries, cattle is a big part of the culture here. The people who work in the industry of cattle, the modern day cowboys are still alive today. I will do a write up of this soon.
Giant Puffball Mushroom. Calvatia Gigantea. Treated like other mushrooms, I took a photograph of it. This is supposedly edible at the right times, but I rather keep that to those who know more about mushrooms. Have you even seen a mushroom this big?? Guy put his hand on it for reference.
This was found up in the Ochoco Mountains of Oregon yesterday.

Backyard Chickens. These people have had these chickens before it was a cool thing to do. When they get out on the road or whatever people just slow down, they do not get out a whole lot anymore. There is quite a few, this is only two. Small towns got to love them!

Protecting Their Own. We watched as these black birds run off this vulture while we were taking care of the horses. Was it a show too!! These little birds did not care how big this vulture was, it was not going to be in their area!

A Scene From The Cascade Mountains
Those who keep up with my photographs know that we went on a outing yesterday after Guy got off work early.
We accidentally stumbled upon water. After turning into several dirt roads, one we had to back out of for a tree had fallen and there was no way to continue on that road. Then we took another dirt road stumbled onto this lake, or swamp, or watering hole whatever one wants to call it. I took several shots and well, I had a hard time deciding which ones to show you. So decided on making this.

I have never seen white flowering vetch!! Purple sure, but white?? It kind of has that purple tint to it. The horses love vetch, it looked like the same plant, same everything but this flower was a different color!

Jigsaw Puzzle. This trees trunk reminded me of a jigsaw puzzle. The pieces laying at the base of the trunk. Must be the work of a bug?
Eye Of The Beholder. If the soul can be seen through the eyes......
Queen Lace Wildflower. Once I am sure it grew only in gardens? Now it grows everywhere.

Right Out Of A Cowboy Movie. Guy and I must of seen this old homestead at the same time, he turned onto a dirt road as I was going to ask him to stop. Since I do not manipulate my photographs, this is what one sees as they to go to the property line. We do not trespass on private land.
Sam Hill’s Stonehenge Veterans Memorial ~ Maryhill, Washington. This is where we met up with family members yesterday. How could I not take this photograph?
Pasture Mates. I bought the mare for my gelding (my gelding is the one with a lot of white on him). Horses being herd animals and all. They like to groom each other.

Petunia In Our Flowerbed. I will be doing a photo post soon to show some of the flowers we have blooming at the moment. Time permitting.
Purple Wildflower Bouquet. These wild flowers grow this way, under the leaves of the plant. You can see where I bent the leaves to get a photo of the flower beneath. The flowers grow within a inch of the ground.
Hard At Work. We heard plenty of these bees, getting them to stand still was another story!! These are wild honeybees, first honeybees we heard or seen this year.
Horseback Riders At The Watering Hole. We have many such watering places here in the high desert.

North American Redhead. I thought this duck was different looking, so this photograph was taken.
